Pregnancy and Newborn
What a time for celebration!! There is nothing more amazing than the creation of a child. As your tummy starts to swell as your baby is growing inside you, I'm sure you are overwhelmed with many emotions – because you have been blessed with a little miracle. When most women hear of having a camera around when they are in their last trimester they generally cringe. When I photograph an expecting mother, I use many elements to create an artistic portrait of her beautiful shape. These sessions are intimate. They are emotional. They are the celebration of what is yet to come! We like to photograph expecting mothers about a month prior to their due date. Call the studio for more details.
Newborn portraits sessions are my favorite. I love to do these while the baby is within one week old, but we recommend as soon as you are comfortable leaving the house with your bundle of joy. The reason we like to see your baby in the studio at such an early age is because of their size. It is so hard to remember how your child fit in the palm of your hand, or how tiny she was when you cradled her in your arms, or when his tiny little hand wrapped around your finger. After their first week, your baby will grow and be a lot more active and won't want to cuddle in dad's hand as much. These sessions are generally with dad and/or mom as a "prop" and not the main subject. We also like to use the baby scale to show your infant's size at birth. It is never too late to get your baby's portrait taken. Our recommendation is to have your baby photographed at least 4 times that first year. Be sure to check out our Once Upon A Lifetime Program. |
