A first impression...
I just received my first joy envelope. The photos are phenomenal. I so loved the abandoned barn. I went and checked out the color version you mentioned in your letter and you are so right the colors and the light just blew me away. I received my Joy Mail today. I just wanted to let you know how absolutely perfect it is.. the photograph, the letter with the explanation, the timing. I lost my mom to early onset Alzheimer’s in September - she was only 62. It was a long battle since diagnosis 8 years ago. This Mother's Day is going to be tough - i have already been struggling all week, knowing it is coming. So, the timing of the mail, the the category "Abandoned", the title "weathered" along with the explanation, followed by the happy mothers day at the bottom just literally brought me to tears. Furthermore, the photo itself somehow reminds me of the beginning black and white scenes from The Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy is heading back to the farm when the twister is coming. The Wizard of Oz is my all time favorite movie. Joy Mail is certainly the perfect name because it truly brought me a moment of joy when I needed it the most. ❤️
