I'm Back!

To my family, friends, and photo enthusiasts,

I want to start by thanking you for your past support. I truly miss watching your families grow up, and I have been blessed with this amazing profession because of you. Thank you!

I know it has been some time since you've heard from me, so I wanted to reconnect and share some exciting updates about my portrait work at The Open Shutter.

Since I left Ohio--making my way to Alaska and then to Montana where I currently live--I haven't actively promoted my portrait work. Life took me in different directions and had me put a pause on doing it full-time. I thought I could make it work part-time, but it's been a challenge for both me and my clients. However, I am now ready to jump back into it full-time. With this change I will be more present and able to give each of you the attention you deserve.

I am ecstatic to make this switch with the hope of creating more meaningful images for you and your family. After my break, I am coming back rejuvenated and reenergized with much to look forward to as I capture your "Joy".

The following are a few things I'd like to share with you...

My mission is to capture your family and what you value and cherish through a beautiful portrait. I am committed to creating images that will bring you joy.
I am thrilled to announce that not only am I traveling to Ohio, Alaska and Montana more often, but I have also added Destination Sessions (similar to Destination Weddings) to my repertoire. These are sessions that have unlimited possibilities. During a consultation we will collaborate to determine what you are envisioning, and where, when, and who will be involved. We will then work together with my knowledge and recommendations to create your dream session.
During the last 8 years I have actively explored Photographic Art and my journey is far from over. I will still be adding to this gallery, which can be viewed at CJ Imagery.
I have also started this blog as a way for me to tell you the stories behind the images I've taken.
